Delta Halls

The hallways of delta

Skye held her arms around herself as she walked casually through the halls towards her cell. After some time admiring the coat, she starts to search the pockets, looking with hope for the money card. But even if it wasn't in there, she quite enjoyed this coat. It was worth something, but she thinks she will keep it.

Ash had been there for a while and knew a few short cuts, he tailed her for a while and saw as she hugged his jacket. "Yeah enjoy it while it lasts" he mumbles. He watches to see which way she would turn and would take a different route. As he made his way he took the right halls that would end up cutting her off, he leaned against the wall that was around the corner.

Skye was non the wiser of her shadow. For all she cared, he was back in the medical room. She was a little dissapointed to find nothing in the pockets past lint, if that. But her nice new jacket made up for it. She stuffs the small brown paper bag into the front chest pocket and then goes on her merry way. She comes to the hall way that continues to lead to her cell and turns it. However, as soon as she does, she sees the guy she lifted the coat from..

She stops in her tracks as she notices who it was rather quickly. Biting her lip she tries to calculate if running was a good idea. "Excuse me." She says, as if she just hadn't been expecting a person to be there, then tries to walk past him.

He snickers as she tries to walk past him but he quickly grabs her arm, not so hard it hurts but enough to get a good grip. He then pulls her towards her then gets of the wall and presses her up against it looking her in the eye. "That's a nice jacket...to bad it isn't yours..." he said putting his forearm up. Slowly a cut began to form on his forearm and a blade began to form, he put it against her cheek lightly and gave her the same face he gave everyone who tried to steal from him. "Your very beautiful and I don't like man handling women but I especially don't like when people try to steal from me. The blade began to retract back into his arm leaving a little bit of his blood on her cheek.

He put his hand into his back pocket and pulled out a card. "Im assuming this is what your after?" he questioned slipping it back into his back pocket. "If you don't mind id like my jacket back and casually be on my way..". Although she was a woman he didn't let his guard down because in the DW those who let their guard down payed the price. However he didn't really like fighting girls but if she did try to pull anything funny he didn't mind being a little rough.

Skye felt his hand grab hold of her arm and was quick in her reflexes, she grabbed back but it wouldn't do any good as she is slammed hard against the wall. She looks back up at him with fire in her eyes, meeting his glare with a challenge, up until his forearm came up and she watched as a red blade emerged from it. Her eyes go wide with fear as she obviously knew what was happening. Skye presses her body harder up against the wall as a bit of panic kicked started her heart, her breathing speeding up a little. She was afraid to move her face, but she wanted to move it away from the blade as well.

Her green eyes go from the dangerous blood to his piercing eyes and she realizes just how much she's fucked up. If his words after that had any effect on her it would have only been him making a comment about how pretty she was, and it would only spark more fear for she doubt it was a bluff. She breathed a little easier when he pulled back the balde, but not by much as her heart was still racing as he showed her the money card. It had been what she was looking for, but no more. This guy just became a risk she didn't care to take. She nods and as soon as he gave her the chance and the room, she quickly takes his jacket off and holds it out to him, her other hand up so that he knew she wasn't trying anything. Her eyes never moving from his face.

He took the jacket and put it on, mostly because other than that he was shirtless with gauze...no one likes wearing bloody clothes. He smiled a bit and put his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "For an inmate you seem so skittish...you shouldn't lose your cool around here" he warned. He could tell how frightened she was and was somewhat confused. He looked her over a moment. "Why so scared this obviously isn't the first time you've seen blood is it...or are you just trembling because its cold?" he said with a somewhat joking tone.

With a little breathing room, Skye was able to calm down some, she lets the hand fall down to her side and press up against the wall lightly as she takes deep full breathes. She had expected him to leave as he said he would, but that would have been too easy. Wouldn't it? When he speaks up again her face comes back forward and her eyes search him again. She pants a couple of times as she gets ready to comment, not catching him looking her over. She gave him a wierd look that made it obvious she thought his question was a bit insane, like she couldn't believe he was asking it. She rolls her eyes out of reaction to the comment about being cold. Then she hopes he didn't see that, nor that it gave him any ideas. "Deadman." She says quietly, only loud enough for him to hear. She made a mistake, she should have realized what he was as soon as the carnival came up, and then especially when Zac came up. She then motions to his arm with a nod. "Branch of Sin... Some people might be crazy enough to fuck with them, but I'm not." She says then looks away with a little regret. This didn't count... She hadn't been thinking, and it almost got her killed.

Hunter Yagami was wandering the halls of Delta looking for Asher, or as The Carnival Corpse has named him, Sparrow. After hearing about what had happened Hunter had a feeling that the influx of al the new Deadmen and Undertakers was sure to make Zac hunger for battle again soon. He soon saw Asher with a young woman. Hunter smelt blood and shook his head as he pat Asher on the shoulder.

"Hey man...I saw the match...you are lucky he took an intrest in you...or would that be unlucky, HAHAHAHA!" Hunter said a bit cheerful as he looked the girl over. "And who might you be?" He asked again before pulling out a contraband data pad. after inputting a few codes he looked back up smiling.

"Nice to meet you Ms. Jenkin, I am Hunter...or as the Carnival Corpse refers to me...I am Zero, one of the very first of the Deadmen to enter the new Wonderland we have today....one of the remaining ones..." he said with a gloomy stare before shaking his head and holding out his hand, in the palm was a Cast Point Card. "A gift from me to you." He said as he turned back to Asher

"So...you were able to face the Man in Red as well....at least you got some Cast for it, the betting pools were stacked quite greatly in his favor, so I will add the Cast to your card later, but on to more important things." Hunter said before looking at the chest wound on Asher.

"you know, lets see about getting you to the Medic before your punishment game...I don't need you dying on me already New Blood."

Asher smiled and looked her dead in the eye as he spoke. "Branch of sin or not...im not one to fuck with". With that he was about to leave but suddenly he heard a voice and felt a small patting on his shoulder. Ash turned around to see that It was zero, one of the more popular deadman in the DW. "Well if it isn't the man himself" he said greeting him.

Ash scratched the back of himself and looked down. "Yeah you know my luck...". Asher began to wonder how serious zac was taking that fight, he had heard stories of how vicious he was. He was definitely a true predator. Ash looked back at the girl and then back at Hunter. "In all honesty I have no clue who she is...we just...met." he said trying to think of a better way to sugar coat his misfortune. He watched as Hunter handed her a cast card and crossed his arms. "How ironic.." he thinks to himself and just shrugs it off.

When Hunter mentioned his chest he moved his jacket to show that he had already been to the medic station and they bandaged it and applied the necessary treatment. "Crap I forgot about the punishment game..." he said sighing. "This day just gets better and better...." he said looking down. He paused for a moment and then looked back up into hunters eyes. "But I don't plan on dieing in a place like this, not just yet."

If he didn't have the Branch of Sin, she might have challenged him, but as she stated before, you don't mess with them. Even other deadman don't mess with deadman.. She just stares back with as much difiance as she did with fear, clenching her jaw and swallowing hard.

Then they hear a voice and Asher pulls away while Skye looks back at the stranger, an uncomfortable knot forms in her stomach as she glances at Ash when Hunter asked about her. She stands still as he pulls out a device and quickly looks her up. Her file would have her main crimes as theift, she was a pirate before she came here, and she still considered herself one. She's gotten away with quite a few plunders already, but she had friends with power, which gave her quit a few enemies as well. She was happy if not relieved that Ash didn't rat her out. But it did strike her as odd.. Why would he threaten her and then pass up a chance to get her punished, or worse... Killed.

"Uh, yes.." She says when he introduces himself. Only half paying attention cause her mind was flipping through so many things at once. But she did get his name, and she would later realize he was the other person who went toe-to-toe with Zac. However, when he produces the card, her attention is immediately cuaght. But she was cautious about accepting the card.. It was odd to meet someone just before reciveing a gift as precious as money. But the candy situation comes to mind and she couldn't pass it up, so she takes the card. She examined it for a bit and only looked up again at the mention of punishment. 'Penalty game.' She thought and looked up at Asher, a hint of worry in her eyes.

And just like that, he was ushered away, off to have something removed..

Hunter shook his head..."I am no Undertaker, you must be getting me conused...I look like the one they call Zac....we look alie for some reason..."

Skye stands there for a few minutes, and then the announcment sounded over the intercom, a message asking for "Sparrow" to come to sector G for their Punishment Game. She quickly put two and two together, the Deadman that just had her pinned to the wall, that had to be Sparrow.

She pockets the card Hunter had given her and then continues to towards her room. She couldn't think of anything else to do, besides, she had pills to take. She walked for a bit until something hits her and she stops again. Her pills.. "Shit." She says, then looks back at the area she just left, but it was empty. "Shit!" She says with a stomp of her foot. She just realized she left her prescriptions in the chest pocket of the leather jacket. She quickly pinches the bridge of her nose and squeezes her bare shoulder in frustration. It doesn't take her long to come up with the plan to just find him and get them back. She just hoped that they didn't search Deadman because those were personal. She sighs and quickly gets some field work done.

Not a lot of people had any useful information, but they all seen or heard about his fight with Zac, or heard rumors about it. The best help she got was from a guard she had some dirt on. He told her where Sparrow's cell was, but not without trying to worm his way out of their arrangement, which just pissed her off to threatening to tell what she knew. He talked then. When she was done with that she makes her way to Asher's cell, she needed that bag.

[Fixed, thought I did before I posted...my bad]

Hunter smiled and nodded as the girl walked off. Hunter swiped the pills the girl was carrying...he was not going to sell them...but he did want to know what was going on with her. However, he did pull a few strings and get Asher's Punishment game toned down a bit...from the ratings Hunter saw, DW had a shitty time explaining it, but the addition of taking Ashers middle fingers was a bit...amusing...Asher sure does like to talk shit.

Hunter saw the girl walk down the hallway again as he lurked in the shadows...,perhaps it was time to retire, but it was then that Hunter caught the stench...an Undertaker was near...one that was still unknown to him.

"Shit...and here I was thinking I was going to be able to sit this one out..." Hunter said as he lurked in the shadows, watching as the Undertaker was stalking the girl.

As soon as asher left block H he was heading back to his cell which was in Delta. He had his hands in his pockets casually strolling through the halls on his way back "home".
